Automatica’s metrology department guarantees quality expertise and service. The calibration of a measuring device is an essential step to be performed precisely for a characterization of the measuring instrument, which is essential for obtaining validated products:

A recognized technical competence

Automatica is now a COFRAC accredited body according to NF EN ISO / IEC 17025 for its laboratory activities in the calibration fields:

COFRAC_Etalonnage_Quad

  • Force : from 2 à 300 kN en compression
  • Torque : from 1 à 2000 Nm
  • Torque wrench : from 1 à 1000 Nm

Accreditation N° 2-6153
Scope available on COFRAC.fr

This accreditation ensures that the proposed services meet the traceability expectations required by the recognized and current metrological standards and fulfills the conditions for independent control. Calibration certification is increasingly necessary, it is internationally recognized and provides a guarantee of compliance with national and international standards.

Our know-how and expertise allow us to qualify the main inter-channel phenomena influencing the measurements of multi-component cells.

Quantities calibrated by the laboratory

Force and torque :

  • Force: in compression from 2 to 500 kN on multi-component cell, dynamometer and tension-compression machines
  • Torque: from 0.1 to 2500 Nm on multi-component cell and static or rotating torque-meter.
  • Torque wrench : from 0.1 Nm to 1000 Nm for torque wrench

Dimensional :

  • Angle : from 0,1° to 7200° : on angular encoder or torque / angle sensor

Electricity :

  • Electrical voltage : from 0,001 V to 10 V : on a decoupled measuring line from the sensor

Our expertise at the service of the quality of your measurements for:

  • Process control and quality assurance
  • Carrying out safe measures and ensuring their traceability
  • Connect your sensors with reliability and consistency
  • Ensure continuity of information from one sensor to another
  • Compare data from one sensor to another
  • Ensure the integrity of long-term data archives

Testing

In the laboratory equipped with the COMBAN testing system, Automatica can test assembly elements up to 2500 Nm by analyzing and recording important assembly parameters. Or equipped with the CAREM system for in-situ testing, Automatica can determine if your assemblies are optimally executed and help you to characterize them.

As the quality requirements of fasteners are becoming more stringent, the use of screws and nuts by automated assembly systems requires impeccable quality to ensure a zero-defect approach to assembly processes.

In the laboratory, the most important tightening parameters can be controlled:

  • Total coefficient of friction
  • Coefficient of friction in the net and in support of the head or nut
  • Pre-stressing force at the limit of elongation
  • Strength at break
  • Operation of the connecting element
